Travel Tips for our African Safari Tour 2012 participants
Passports & Visas:
The traveler is required to be in possession of a passport with minimum validity of at least six months after your scheduled return date to Canada.
Canadian passport holders require a visa to enter Tanzania. This must be arranged and obtained prior to arrival in Tanzania. Please contact the Tanzania Consulate in Ottawa.
Canadian Passport holders require a visa for Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. This is available upon arrival for USD 65.00 per person (subject to change).
Canadian Passport holders currently do not require a visa to enter South Africa however please ensure there are two blank pages side by side in your passport for South African Immigration.
It is recommended the traveler book an appointment to visit a Travel/Tropical Disease Clinic or seek the advice of a health professional to discuss current personal medical condition and determine what vaccines, inoculations etc. are required for our travel destinations within Africa. Generally, Anti-Malarial, Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus, Polio Diphtheria may be required or highly recommended. Please ensure you discuss this important matter with your health professional at least 90 days prior to departure.
This is described in more detail on the Land Tour Booking/Registration Form. Note a Medical Questionnaire must be completed in order to obtain a quote on the best available coverage which is based on a number of factors. Generally, we recommend full comprehensive deluxe travel insurance to maximize coverage.
